today was a “treat yo self”. why celebrate? school is out, my grades were posted (3.8!), and it was pay day! treated my self with a trip to city market where i bought coffee, produce, and ingredients to make sushi! when i got home, i accidentally locked myself out of my house…ALMOST ruining my day. then my roommate came to save the day and i bought myself a new pair of platform wedges to make up for it. so, all in all, it was a goooood day.

this charm bracelet, most prized piece i own.
my grandma lives in a small town in virginia on a 600 acre farm. it’s my favorite place in the world. every summer that i go, my mom, my aunt, and i would spend a whole day antique shopping in town. for three years i would looked at this charm bracelet and wanted it so badly to me mine. but i wasn’t about to shell out the money they were asking for it. then one summer, my aunt surprised me with it. and since then, it’s been my favorite piece i own.

-my best kept secret? most to ALL of my skirts are from thrift stores. so if you’re at a thrift store and like a skirt but it’s long, don’t be afraid to buy it and shorten it when you get home! prime example: this skirt was a floor length denim skirt with red rickrack detail all along the bottom. it could possibly be one of the worst items i’ve ever seen at a thrift store. but i saw the potential and went with it! it’s well worth the work.
